SAMBA, APRIL 06(KNB): With huge rush in markets in view of Navratri and Ramadan, Department of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in collaboration with District Administration Samba on Wednesday carried out intensive market checking and imposed heavy penalties on violators.
Under supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta, Joint inspection team was constituted for Market inspections and various establishments including Sweet Shops, Dhabbas, restaurants, Bakery shops, Gift shops, Karyana Shops, Meat Shops and others were inspected and Compounded.
A Mobile ‘Food Safety on Wheels” van of the Department of Food Drug Department Safety was also deployed today in district samba which lifted and tested 22 samples on the spot and 1 sample failed the test. The Department also checked frying oil samples on the spot using Digital Frying Oil Monitoring devices.
The Joint Market checking teams comprised of Rajan Kapoor, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety, Inspectors Munish Gupta and Zulfikar Malik and personnel of Police Department. (KNB)
