Sagar asks admin to facilitate Urs by providing effective amenities to devotees
Srinagar, 29 Sept(KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Thursday greeted people on annual Khawaja Digger Observance, hoping the day augurs well for increased prospects of peace and prosperity in J&K.
In his message, Dr Farooq said, “Such observances besides being the mainstay of Kashmiri culture and ethos ,resuscitate the unique cultural identity of the region. The teachings of great Sufi saints including that of Hazrat Khawaja Baha Ud Din Naqshband (RA) have played a pivotal role in the shaping of the social and cultural milieu of Kashmir. I hope the day acts as a harbinger of lasting peace in J&K. I extend my warmest greeting to people and devotees who would throng the revered Naqshband Sahib Shrine in Koja Bazar to offer Asar prayers,” he added.
Meanwhile General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar has impressed upon divisional and district administration Srinagar to facilitate the observance by providing devotees all basic amenities.
Among others Party’s Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Senior leaders Mubarak Gul, Irfan Shah and Women’s wing President Shameema Firdous have also greeted people on the annual Khawaja Digger observance.(KNB)
