Ganderbal 14 August (KNB): The District Level Selection Committee (DLSC) of Sheep Husbandry Department Ganderbal headed by District Sheep Husbandry Officer Ganderbal has finalized the selection of beneficiaries under various income generating schemes of the department for the year 2021-22.
As per a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau, the selection of beneficiaries was held through draw of lots procedure. A total number of 2271 applicants had applied under the schemes aimed at boosting self employment and furthering a spirit of self-reliance among the people, in addition to contributing in the mutton production of the district.
The event was attended by a large number of applicants who hailed the efforts and transparency of the department in the entire selection process.
A total of 45 applicants were selected under various schemes, with nineteen 19 selections made under Integrated Sheep Development Scheme (ISDS)-25 ewes under subsidy mode, 01 selection each under ISDS-50, 75, 100,125, 150, 175 and 200 ewes unit each on subsidy mode.
Under the ISDS- participatory mode, 08 selections were made and six 06 beneficiaries were selected for establishment of Shearing units. 03 and two 02 beneficiaries were selected under Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY)-25 ewes recycled unit and Backyard-10 ewes recycled unit respectively. (KNB)
