Continuing the tirade against the land encroachers District Administration Srinagar alongwith Local Police today demolished a double storeyed shopping complex which has been illegally raised on the state land on the national highway at Pantha Chowk by one person namely Basharat Darzi S/O Mohd Rafiq Darzi R/O Athwajan under survey number 1169/246 in revenue estate Pantha Chowk , Tehsil Pantha Chowk.
An FIR number 89/18 Dt: 14/12/2018 was also registered at police station Panthachowk against the violator under section 447A of RPC in the matter. And the violator was directed to refrain from any further viloation/Construction on said land. However giving scant regard to the Law and the FIR lodged and throwing all rules and regulations to the wind the encroacher namely Basharat Darzi continued with the construction with sole aim of grabbing the state land. Taking strong notice of the violation the District Administration swung into action and razed the structure to the ground. The Locals appreciated the action of the Administration and assured all possible Cooperation to the Government against land encroachers.
Further police has been directed to keep strict vigil on the encroacher.
The District AdministrationSrinagar has again warned all such elements to desist from such acts as all such actions shall be met strictly as per Law.
