Srinagar, March 1 (KNB): Amid ongoing pro-Iran and anti-Israel and United States protests in parts of Kashmir following recent geopolitical developments, Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat along with Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdi are on the ground to supervise security arrangements.
News agency Kashmir News Bureau has learnt that the senior officers, accompanied by SSP Srinagar and representatives of various security agencies, are closely monitoring the situation to ensure peace and public safety.
Peaceful protests have been reported from several areas of the Valley, where demonstrators expressed solidarity with Iran and voiced opposition to military actions by the United States and Israel.
Authorities have emphasised that while peaceful expression is being allowed, maintaining law and order remains a top priority. Security forces have been deployed across sensitive localities as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incidents and to ensure smooth movement of citizens.
Police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining communal harmony, warning that any attempt to create unrest or disturb peace will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law.(KNB)
