Srinagar 19 April (KNB): The government on Sunday issued an order to close all schools, colleges, and universities in UT till May 15 after the rising of Covid19 cases but Sainik School Manasbal, located in Ganderbal district, has thrown caution to the wind and kept the school open for the students.
As per the source, the Sainik School Manasbal has kept 10th, and 12th classes open for the students, which is in contravention to the order issued by the government bearing no. 21JK (DMRRR) 2021 to keep all Schools, Colleges, and Universities closed in J&K for imparting in-person and on-campus education till 15th May 2021.
However, sources further confirmed that students are attending classes without following the Covid19 SOPs.
It is pertinent to mention that J&K reported 1526 cases on Sunday, with the government taking every step to avoid the spike in cases by giving one after the other orders regarding the institutions’ closures and others.
To get further details regarding the keeping of school open, the Sainik school administration told News Agency — Kashmir News Bureau that they had kept one class open for the students after getting some ‘permission’ about which the person was not fully sure of.
When KNB contacted the school principal, he did not respond to the calls despite repeated attempts. (KNB)
