Srinagar 12 May (KNB): Despite clear cut direction to facilitate hassle-free movements for Journalists, policemen on Wednesday reportedly impeded their work at several places in Srinagar.
News agency Kashmir News Bureau on Wednesday received several calls from local Journalists regarding Policemen, in several areas of Srinagar, obstructing them from performing their duty.
Regarding the same, the news agency contacted DC Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad, who said that journalists will not be stopped from performing their duties.
“I’ve given out direction to Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure hassle-free movements of journalists,” DC Srinagar added.
Furthermore, Aijaz Asad confirmed to KNB that the Identity cards of Journalists will be treated as Curfew passes amid the tough restrictions imposed by the administration to break the Covid-19 chain.
Pertinent to mention that earlier, on the directions of Inspector General Police Kashmir, Vijay Kumar helpline was established for Doctors and Paramedical staff to facilitate their movement in the line of duty.
