Bandipora, December 07: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad on Monday visited Bandipora Tehsil Office to assess the damages caused due to a fire incident on Saturday evening.
A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that He was accompanied by Additional District Development Commissioner Afsar Ali Khan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Executive Engineer R&B, Tehsildar Bandipora Mubashir Saleem Nazki and other senior officers of the district.
“On the occasion DC Bandipora was informed about the damages caused to the building and was informed that the officers were able to save vital official records during the incident. DC Bandipora appreciated the efforts of the Tehsildar Bandipora and his team for managing to safeguard the vital official record by risking their lives,” statement read.
It stated that he further directed the officers of R&B to expedite the work on the new Tehsil office complex that is near completion so that the same can be made functional at earliest.
“Meanwhile a 4-member committee headed by Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Bandipora shall hold enquiry into fire incident at Tehsil Office Bandipor,” officials stated.
In the order issued today, “ADC Bandipora has asked the 4 member committee to submit its findings. District Statistical and Evaluation Officer Bandipora, BDO Aloosa and DSP (DR) Bandipora are part of the 4-member committee,” officials stated. (KNB)
