CU students Protest against arrest of mate

Srinagar, 10 Nov (KNB): Students of Central University on Saturday launch a protest march, demanding release of their mates detained by the government forces.

According to reports, a group students took out protest march towards Nowgam bypass, boycotted their class work by holding banners and raising slogans, demanding release of their fellows.”




“We are protesting and taking out march as our mates were detained by security forces earlier, so we demanding release them as soon as possible,” said a student.’

“They have detained two political science students, Suhail from Shopian and Ismail from Baramulla from their rented rooms near the campus.” He added

However, students had blocked the traffic movement at Nowgam bypass.

Earlier, Suhail Dar and Mohammad Ismail were detained in night raid by government forces from their rented room near to university.

Meanwhile, Head of Political Science department Dr Khalid said “Both the students are regular as they attend class every day.” (KNB)
