Covid 19: Amid Lockdown, Mass promotion of school students in Jammu & Kashmir

Srinagar 07 April (KNB): Amid Covid19 Crises in world, the Jammu and Kashmir government has taken a decision to promote all students from class 1 to 9 and 11 class students of Jammu division without any examination.

The news was announced by the deputy Secretary to the government department of school education, “Since schools were asked to remain shut, the government has decided to give mass promotion to students of Classes 1 to 9 and 11 of Jammu division. This was necessary to keep the children safe,” an official in school department told Kashmir News Bureau.

Meanwhile, Govt has also decided to promote students of bi-annual students of class 11.
After the decision was taken by government,one of the parent told Kashmir News Bureau that, Government should restore 4g services in valley so that our kids can take live or recorded classes like other states of students are taking.

Currently, In Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir there are 110 cases of COVID-19 positive, while 89 cases reported from Kashmir Valley and 21 from Jammu division. However, four patients have been recovered, one from Kashmir and three from Jammu division – and two died in Kashmir.

Pertinently, PM Modi announced a 21-day lockdown in the wake of covid 19 in whole country to stop the spread of deadly disease. (KNB)
