Srinagar 23 June (KNB): The Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Sadananda Gowd on Wednesday said that over 60,000 vials of antifungal drug Liposomal AmphotericinB have been sent to States and UTs.
Gowda said that an additional 61,120 vials of Liposomal AmphotericinB have been allocated to all States/UTs & Central Institutions today.
So far, approximately 7.9 Lakh vials have been allocated across the country, maintaining adequate availability to patients of Mucormycosis, Gowda said.
It is pertinent to mention that the AmphotericinB drug is used for the patients suffering from Black Fungus, the cases of which have been reported in the J&K UT and other parts of India as well. (KNB)
