Reasi 09 June(KNB): A Bus carrying pilgrims to the Shiv Khori temple was attacked by suspected terrorists. The bus subsequently plunged into a deep gorge in Teryath village, located in the Poni area.
As per the latest reports, at least 10 pilgrims have lost their lives in this incident. The District Commissioner of Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, confirmed the casualties. The pilgrims were en route to the revered Shiv Khori temple when the attack took place, leading to the bus rolling down the gorge.
In response to the emergency, a comprehensive rescue operation was initiated, with immediate reinforcements arriving from the police, army, and paramilitary forces.
However, official confirmation is awaited on whether the incident was a militant attack or an accident.(KNB)
