Srinagar 07 July (KNB): Kashmir observed complete shutdown on the second death anniversary of famous Hizb commander Burhan wani.
Government authorities have suspended the Amarnath yatra for one day in view of a strike called by separatists to mark the second death anniversary.
Reports said KNB that, Authorties have put severe restrictions in Srinagar, south Kashmir and other parts of the valley.
“You know the (law and order) situation in Kashmir is not good and our effort is to ensure safe yatra for the pilgrims. Tomorrow there is a strike call and we have to stop the yatra. Our duty is to ensure safety of the pilgrims.” said Director General of police S.P Vaid.
Mobile internet services were suspended in entire Kashmir Valley as a precautionary measure in the wake of death anniversaryyatra of Burhan wani.
Earlier, three Youth were killed after army allegedly opened fire on group of protesters in Redwani village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The slain civilians have been identified as Shakir Ahmed Khanday (22), Irshad Majeed (20) and a girl Andleeb (16). (KNB)
