April 20: Although Brahmastra is one of the most anticipated films in Bollywood, not much is known about the film’s plot, storyline and its characters. While Ayan Mukerji has been treating the viewers with some glimpses and deets from the movie, reports are rife that Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing a DJ in the film.
According to reports, Ranbir plays a DJ who walks out of his house against his father’s wishes. The story then traces his journey as he tries to fulfil his dreams and discovers his superpowers in the process.
The reports also stated that every character in the film possesses superpowers, with Kapoor’s character believed to have the power to unleash fire from his palms. The actor has also reportedly undergone rigourous training in various forms of martial arts for the role. It apparently has some high octane action sequences. Ranbir trained in traditional Indian martial arts, including Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai, before the film went on floors in 2017.
The film also stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role and features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles.
