Film actor Anupam Kher has been appointed as the new chairman of the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. The announcement came on Wednesday afternoon.
Anupam Kher has acted in over 500 films including Saaransh, Daddy and A Wednesday. He has also acted in international films such as Golden Globe nominated Bend It Like Beckham, Ang Lee’s 2007 Golden Lion-winning Lust, Caution, and David O. Russell’s 2013 Oscar-winning Silver Linings Playbook.
His wife Kirron Kher is a BJP MP.
Anupam Kher is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Ranchi Diaries.
