Bloodbath at Borders: 4 BSF personnel killed, 5 others injured in Samba

 Jammu, June 13 (KNB): Four border security forces (BSF) personals including an assistant commandant were killed and 5 others injured during cross border shelling at Ramgarh sector of Samba early morning today, reports said.
Taking to social media website Twitter, Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) SP Vaid expressed his condolence over the incident.
“In Ramgarh sector of IB in Jammu, 4 BSF personnel were martyred including one Assistant Commandant & 5 others were injured due to firing from across the border our heart goes to those who lost their dear ones,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, five others were injured due to cross-border shelling by Pakistan Rangers.
Reports said BSF retaliated to Pak rangers heavy shelling but there were no immediate reports of casualties , if any, on another side of the border.
This development comes just days after DGMos of the two countries had agreed to maintain ceasefire in letter and spirit.
Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has expressed deep anguish and grief over the death of four BSF personnel, including an officer, in a cross-border shelling incident in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district today.
Paying rich tributes to the slain personnel, the Chief Minister reiterated her demand for cessation of hostilities along the borders to protect lives and properties of border people who, she said, have been caught in a distressing situation of past few months which has put them to vulnerability.
