First mobile tower at Shibo Chak beginning of digital revolution in border, remote hamlets

JAMMU, Sept 11(KNB): Kavinder Gupta senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister on Sunday said that BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi has cleared decks for the disruption free mobile connectivity along borders and in far off hamlets as restrictions acting as bottlenecks have now been removed altogether.

The BJP stalwart leader was speaking after inaugurating the first mobile tower near International Border in Shibo Chak village by Indus Towers Limited here.

The former Deputy Chief Minister said that mobile connectivity has become the basic necessity as there are numerous uses of this service including the studies of children and therefore government cannot afford to leave any place devoid of this facility. He said that the Prime Minister has removed all the restrictions which earlier acted as the bottlenecks for mobile connectivity in such sensitive areas just for the sake of common people living on the borders and in remote areas.
Kavinder said that installation of this tower in Shibo Chak is the start of digital revolution along the borders as starting from Lakhanpur to Ladakh, soon the edifice for the mobile connectivity will be enhance so much so that communication will no longer be an issue and the people can have easy access of mobile signals whenever and wherever they want to use the same.
The senior BJP leader said that this will act as a boon for development and a step towards realizing the bounties of Digital India. He said earlier border permission was required from concerned authority which resulted in delay but now the same has been relaxed and this is the first tower which has been installed post such tweak. He said that e-Gov system for citizen services is inter-dependable on telecom/ Data services, which needs easy access and sustainable telecom service across all areas in J&K and therefore this initiative will prove to be benevolent for all.
