Bhim Singh urges President of India for imposition of Governor Rule in J&K

Srinagar, Feb 01 (KNB): Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party and Sr. Advocate in the Supreme Court in a letter to Ramnath Kovind, the President of India has urged latter to promulgate Governor Rule in Jammu and Kashmir state in the national interest as the present government in J&K has failed to protect the people of J&K from the wrath of foreign-sponsored militants operating in J&K for the past three years under PDP-BJP (RSS) government in the state.

Prof.Bhim Singh wrote in his letter that Section 92 of J&K Constitution empowers President of India to advice the Governor of J&K to impose Governor Rule whenever there is a failure of the State government to protect the life and liberty of the citizens of India.

Prof. Bhim Singh urged the President of India in his letter that Governor Rule is essential for the safety and security of the citizens of India (all residents of J&K are citizens of India). Prof.Bhim Singh said that Governor Rule was imposed in J&K during the time of Nehru, Shastri, Mrs. Indira Gandhi and others as Prime Ministers of India.

Prof. Bhim Singh urged the President of India that he may seek the opinion of the Supreme Court of India being head of the state in this matter if he desires. He said that Governor Rule at the moment is the only way out to save the people of J&K from further death and destruction. He said this is the only way to restore the confidence of the people by restoring their confidence and trust in the Indian Constitution. (KNB)
