Bandipora Villagers suffer due to worst road condition

Bandipora, Mar 21(KNB): The inhabitants of Bandipora are suffering due to extremely poor condition of 67 kilometers long highway between Bandipora and Srinagar which has turned from bad to worst in the past years.

Alleging no action by the PWD administration to repair the roads and improve their condition, the locals said that the 67 kilometers long highway between Bandipora and Srinagar has developed a lot of potholes in it that create immense problems for commuters affecting driver community the most.

Bashir Ahmad, a local commuter said “The 67 kilometers Bandipora Srinagar highway was macdamised from Aragam upto SK Payeen last year but it was left without macdimisation from Aragam to Bandipora main town, thus creating a lot of problems for the people.”

Abdul Majeed Bhat, a local driver of a Sumo vehicle, who travels on daily basis from Bandipora to Srinagar highway said “We have to face a lot of problems due to these roads, our vehicles get damaged and we have to service them every month which is not affordable for us, I am appealing to the administration to macdamise these roads as soon as possible.”

Inaytullah Bhat a student, said ” We travel on daily basis to college and due to these damaged roads we always get late to college and miss our classes which affects our education.”

Residents from the district appealed the administration to macdamise these roads at an earliest to wipe out the problems faced by the people.(KNB)
