Kashmir is known of its “Four seasons” summer, winter, spring and autumn. In Kashmir each Season has its own significance and uniqueness, out of which ‘Winter Season’ is the most celebrated one which starts from December and ends in March. It is the coldest season of the year which can be characterised by Low temperature, Cold winds, Short days and Long nights.
“The cold season is here and we are preparing ourselves for this. We have taken our warm clothes put, room heaters and Heating arrangements are properly being made. We hope this winter we see a lot of snow “said Rafeeq , a shopkeeper .
Winter has its own charm in valley and attracts many people from other place to visit Kashmir and witness this cold season and its beauty. Despite the Cold, people love to visit picnic destinations to enjoy snow and snow related sports like Snow skiing , snowboarding .
While talking to Kashmir New Bureau Mahesh Kumar, a Mumbai based traveler said “I have never seen such beauty anywhere. Winters always felt like a Bad idea but to be in Kashmir during winters is the Best idea. I will definitely come again with my friends and family every year to experience this beautiful season.”
Snow covered mountains, cold breeze, warmth of fire with the view of snowballing outside is the most pleasant treat to the eyes. With beauty being on one side , the change in the weather and increase in the Coldness of days and nights demands special arrangements at homes and outside to avoid any unfavorable conditions.
