Kupwara, 12th Oct(KNB): Indian army organised Medical camp in collaboration with a team of Doctors from Jintur and Ambajogai district, Maharashtrain Machhal Valley
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that, Macchil is a remote area near Line Of Control and is a conglomeration of a number of small villages. The nearest medical facility for some of these small villages is minimum a two hour trek and for access to medical specialists the villagers need to visit Kupwara and even Srinagar.
The Indian Army organised a Medical Camp for the residents of villages in Machhal sector.
The team of eight medical specialists at the Camp included Physicians, Paediatricians, Gynecologists, Family Physicians and an Orthopaedic. Two Doctors from the Local Army Unit also participated in the camp.
The Camp benefitted a total of 254 villagers from the surrounding areas of Chuntiwari, Dudi & Machhal. The villagers asked for an increased frequency of medical camps like this in the area.(KNB)
