Srinagar, Feb 15 (KNB): A major crisis was averted by the Army when its alert troops reacted swiftly to a major fire incident in Kandharwan Mohalla of village Mohura.
According to the reports, a high tension line fell on a regular supply line causing a short circuit in the entire Mohalla. The wiring of most houses caught fire due to the sudden increase in voltage.
On receiving this information, the Army personnel quickly reached the incident site with firefighting equipments and medical aid. The fire fighting team cut off the mains and the electric supply to the houses thus minimizing the loss to the life and property.
Medical assistance by Army doctors was also extended to the locals and they were assured all the necessary assistance. The villagers were grateful to the Army for the immediate assistance and thanked them for the quick response. (KNB)
