Anti-Drug awareness programme held by Jammu Police at Kachi Chawni

Jammu 26 June(KNB):A drug awareness programme was organised by SDPO North Jammu Dysp Jaswant Singh Parihar in collaboration with the staff of SP Smart School exchange road Kachi Chawni.The programme were 200 students and teachers actively participated to earmark International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was organised in the premises of SP Smart School exchange road Kachi chawni.




“Drug abuse has become the basic component behind most of the criminal activities. In the present scenario, most of the offenders who are involved in any kind of criminal activity either conduct the crime when they are under the influence of drugs or in order to earn money to meet their need for drugs,” remarked Dysp Jaswant Singh Parihar SDPO North,Jammu while delivering a lecture regarding the menace of drug abuse.

SDPO Dysp Jaswant Singh Parihar also urged all tgr Participants to share information related to drug peddling with Jammu Police and sought their cooperation to make a drug free society in Jammu.

The other officers present on the occasion awaked the audience about use of drugs and its menaces in the society. SDPO North Jammu while delivering a lecture also said that the parents, teachers and other members of society along with the law enforcing agencies have to play a pivotal role in eradicating these widely spreading menaces, which are consuming younger generations directly and indirectly.




Students along with some locals of all age groups marked their presence. The policemen also briefed children and advised them to remain alert and stay away from strangers. Various meetings were also organised which stressed on motivating the localities to report any illegal drug activity.(KNB)
