An encounter broke out between security forces and Militants in Anantnag’s Chattabal district on Monday. At least two to three militants were trapped during the firing one Army Officer, two other Solidiers were Injured, Reports said
According to reports, a joint team of Army’s 19RR and SOG launched a cordon and search operation in Chattabal Village of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district..
A senior police officer told that forces laid siege around suspected spot after having credible inputs about presence of some militants. The officer further said that there was a exchange of firing between militants and forces in which Army officer was killed and other two soldiers were injured. He added that firing is going from both sides
Meanwhile, Massive clashes have erupted near the encounter site and internet services were suspected in the Anantnag district.
