Anantnag Attack: Six injured including 4 CRPF, policeman and Civilian

Anantnag 01 June (KNB): Four CRPF, Policeman and a civilian were injured after suspected militants hurled grenade on a joint party of 140 BN CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police in Khanabal area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday.

Official said Kashmir News Bureau that “The attackers hurled a grenade on joint party of the CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police resulting in injuries to Five jawans and civilian.

He said the injured jawans have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The injured CRPF troopers were identified as Ravinder Singh of Uttarakhand, Mohammad Siraj, Veer Singh of Uttar Pradesh and Vinod Kumar.

The injured cop of Jammu and Kashmir Police was identified as Abdul Majeed of Larkipora, Anantnag and the injured civilian as Abdul Rashid of Tral.

The attack has come after the Home Minister Rajnath Singh Plan to Visit Kashmir on Eid to review the security.(KNB
