All School reopened, but Tral School remained shut

Tral, March 13(KNB): Schools in all districts of valley opened on Monday after three months of winter vacations except Tral where schools still remained shut due to encounter.

Earlier, two militants were killed in an encounter in Tral that broke out between militants and government forces on Monday due to which all private as well as Government schools remained closed in the area while a huge rush of students was seen in all other districts of the valley after schools reopened being closed for three months of winter vacations.

Asif Bashir, a student of Tral school said, “Despite all schools of other districts reopened after three months, our schools still remained closed because of encounter due to which we are not able to focus on our studies , It is not only loss of regular classes but we are also feeling mental stress.”

Another 12th class student, Wasim Ahmad said, “On Monday when all schools reopened , our schools remained still shut creating a psychotic paranoia inside. Sitting at home makes the person mentally sick he goes through that phobia and overthinks. Because of that it’s like a situation where one wants to run away.”

A parent Muzaffar Ahmad said, “Education has suffered the most in these times, the ongoing upheaval is shattering the future of our children, their future is under a grave threat.”(KNB)
