Al-Badar pays tributes to Afzal Guru on sixth death anniversary

Srinagar, Feb 8: Al-Badar paid tributes to Mohammad Afzal Guru ahead of the sixth anniversary of his hanging, saying he “infused with his blood a new spirit into the dying freedom movement.”

Al-Badar spokesperson Aatif Hijazi in a statement issued to news agency said the militant outfit will continue attacks on “occupying forces” across Jammu and Kashmir to avenge Guru’s hanging.

The spokesperson urged Kashmiri youth to “read and understand Guru’s message in his book Aaina and follow his path”.

Afzal Guru was hanged and buried inside New Delhi’s Tihar Jail on February 9, 2013, after the Supreme Court convicted him for his role in the 2001 Parliament attack case.
