Baramulla 2 Aug (KNB):All India Rahul Gandhi Fans Association on Thursday held party convention at Rafiabad in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
The convention was presided over by AIRGFA state president Peerzada Mohd Shafi Shah, Nida Khan Mahila wing President,Chief organiser Shabir Ah shah,District president Baramulla Mohd Akbar Najar and was attended by senior functionaries of blocks and frontal wings of the association and Congress party.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Shafi said that all previous regimes have failed in Rafiabad as they have neglected the upper areas in terms of development and welfare of people AND congress will re-emerging as a strong force in the Rafiabad while NC and PDP will be on decline even in their strong holds in the next elections.
The PDP and BJP leadership had to harp on other emotive issues and tactics to retain power in Rafiabad, which shows the hollowness and frustration of the parties,said Mr Shafi.
Peerzada shafi appreciated the congressmen of this upper belt who remained the backbone of party all through and returned congress in difficult times reflecting their commitment to the ideology of the party.
He also said the exploitation machinery of PDP and BJP temporarily caused set back to the party but now people understand the game plan of both parties who stand exposed on their own slogans.
The large presence of congress workers today is an indication of the changed mood of the people and congress is sure to come out stronger in the coming elections as the present coalition government has utterly fail in all the areas of Rafiabad added Mr Shabir Ah Shah.
State President Mr Shafi while talking to Kashmir News Bureau said that we will get feedback from the ground level workers and select right candidate of the choice of the people of the Rafiabad so that in future poor masses of Rafiabad will not face any hardships.
He also asked other workers to gear up for the future electoral challenges and expose the failures of the BJP-PDP government.
Shafi while talking to Kashmir News Bureau also lashed at the Central Government over issue of Article 35 A and also added that we will launch a state wide agitation if Supreme court gives any adverse verdict in the petition of Article 35A and we will not allow anybody at any cost to dilute our rights.
Senior Executive member of the Association Mr Rafiq Najar, Mahila Wing President Nida Khan,District president Baramulla Mr Mohd Akbar Najar and several other prominent leaders spoke on the occasion.(KNB)
