After SSB issues advertisement notice, Qualified job seekers raise question

Srinagar 29 June (KNB): Highly qualified youth across the Kashmir valley waiting for government opportunities since years have raised queries on the notice issued by Service Selection Board(SSB) advertising 8575 posts under the provisions of Jammu and Kashmir Class 4th special recruitment rules.

Soon after the Service Selection Board issued notice after ten months post August 2019 regarding the 8575 class 4th recruitment, social media got flooded with the posts of highly qualified youth of valley seeking government’s attention towards them by raising question related to the posts that they deserve and are waiting for such government opportunities since many years where most of such youth have even now crossed their eligiblity age.

“In Jammu and Kashmir, already facing turmoil over the decades, unemployment has become a serious concern and the percentage of unemployed youth is increasing with the poor absorption rate and with the fresh recruitment posts issued by SSB for class 4th employment, where I am among such youth despite having highly qualified degrees and they are humiliating us by issuing notices for class 4th employees where a 12th and even a 10th qualified student is eligible for such posts,” Zainab Ara, MSc qualified student presently working as a teacher at a private School told news agency Kashmir News Bureau.

Another postgraduate student, Iftikhar Bhat said, ” I have completed my double PG degree in the year 2015, since than I am only waiting for government opportunities and now even I am close to the completion of my eligibility age and with government releasing such notices which the highly qualified youth of valley after a lot hardwork of many years achieved such qualified degrees, this is not what we deserve.”
Pertinently, SSB has issued notice of advertising 8575 posts, of these posts, 493 are UT cadre vacancies and 1545 and 1616 have been advertised for Jammu and Kashmir divisions respectively.

The posts include Health and Medical Education, Public Works Department, Forest, Ecology & Environment , Department, Revenue Department, Higher Education Department, Rural Development Department, Finance Department, General Administration, Department, Cooperative Department, Estates Department, Labour and Employment Department.(KNB)
