After digging in Tangdar, slain militant bodies reached Home

Srinagar, June 04 (KNB): In yet another painful story, the bodies of two militants killed in Tangdhar area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district reached their hometown after their families claim.

After exhumation, their bodies were handed to their families yesterday, more than 10 days after they were buried near the Line of Control (LoC) at Badwan village in Tanghdar area.

Reports reaching Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) thousands of people took part in the last rites of the duo, besides, a spontaneous shutdown is being observed in Pulwama and Kulgam district to mourn the deaths.

Amid clashes Hundreds of people reached Pulwama and Kulgam to offer the last rites of Sheeraz Ahmad Sheikh of Lajoora and Mudasir Ahmad of Parigam.

Meanwhile, in a telephonic address to mourners, attending funerals of two youth from Pulwama, Hurriyat (G) Chiarman Syed Geelani condemned the killing of Sabzaar Ahmad Sheikh, saying that callous authorities while shielding killers are attributing it to encounters with brave hearts.

Appealing youth to boycott upcoming elections, Syed Ali Geelani said that “it provides Indian leadership opportunity to mislead world community. They are not sincere and just play with your sentiments and looting resources of state, Geelani added.

Sheeraz was reported missing since September 2017 and Mudasir since July 2016 said police official.
On the intervening night of May 25 and 26, these militants walked into this side where the ambush was placed and they were killed, he added.

Reports said, several rounds of funeral were offered for both militants. However, militants were later laid to rest amid pro-freedom and anti-government slogans. (KNB)
