Srinagar, Dec 14th: Senior PDP leader and Ex MLA Shopian Adv. Mohd Yousuf Bhat today expressed his gratitude to former CM and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti for all the concern she showed during her tenure as Chief Minister, for the upgradation of Sub district hospital Shopian to the status of District Hospital but unfortunately could not accomplish because of the untimely collapse of coalition government.
“It was a long pending demand of all the sections of the society as the health care in entire district was in shambles and patients had to be referred to Srinagar hospital for even minor treatments because of the lack of healthcare facilities and dearth of specialised doctors and other para-medical staff,” he said.
Bhat also thanked J&K Governor Satya Pal Malik for personally monitoring this issue and taking the same forward after the assembly had to be put in suspended animation and finally redressed the long pending demand of the entire district.
