Administration on toes to combat aftermath Snowfall situation

Srinagar, Feb 12 (KNB): The state administration is on toes to combat the aftermath Snowfall situation in Kashmir. The normal life which had gone out of the gear following first snowfall of the season has partially normalized with immediate steps taken by the state level administration.

Several roads which had gone sub-merged following the snowfall have been cleared by using the motor pumps. Reports reaching Kashmir News Bureau that the electricity has also been restored in the affected areas.

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir and DC Srinagar are personally monitoring the situation under which they carried extensive tours to different places in Srinagar including hospitals, electricity receiving stations and other important public utility installations.

The snow clearance drive has been started in the nook and corner to maintain smoothing of trafficking on roads besides several helpline numbers have been setup by the administration to ensure its access to the general public.
