10k salary with no hike since decade grave injustice: Dr. Nawab
Srinagar Sept 18 (KNB): Expressing concern over the plight of CIC Operators working in Rural Development Department, Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday said that these operators are important stakeholder in the working of rural development department but have been pushed to the corner with no one in government ready to listen to their grievances.
In a press statement issued by Dr. Nawab Nasir, spokeperson of Aam Aadmi Party, it has been stated that CIC Operators are currently handling the online work of department portals like e-gram-swaraj, SBM, PMAY, PPC, GPDP, PMFS and other e-governance portals and these operators have highly professional degrees in their hands.
” They were appointed through the open competition after proper advertisement in the year 2003-04 and their recruitment was made on merit basis through proper recruitment procedure of district level appointment committees constituted by the government.” Dr. Nawab of Aam Aadmi Party said.
Since their appointment, he said, these CIC Operators are working on contractual basis and being paid an amount of ten thousand rupees per month with no hike since a decade or more which is a grave in justice with these professional men.
” Aam Aadmi Party calls for a proper employment policy for these employees which should be notified at the earliest without any delay.” Dr. Nawab said.
” In first step, Government should regularise these CIC Operators and their salaries should be given a hike as per need of hour.” He added.
Dr. Nawab Nasir of Aam Aadmi Party further asked Jammu and Kashmir LG administration and BJP Government to stop playing with future of serving employees and to shun it’s policy of mere slogan making and to adopt a practical approach to redress the grievances of masses who are being pushed to corner for none of their fault.(KNB)
