BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 16(KNB):
Senior Superintendent of Police Bandipora, Shri Tahir Saleem-JKPS, today held an introductory meeting with officers of Bandipora Police at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines (DPL), Bandipora.
The meeting was attended by Addl. SP Bandipora, all DySPs, SrPO, all SHOs, In-charges of Police Posts and SOG Camps, and Branch In-charges of DPO and DPL Bandipora. Officers posted in Sub-Division Gurez participated in the meeting virtually.
During the meeting, SSP Bandipora emphasised upon the need for professional, accountable and people-friendly policing, with zero tolerance for corruption and timely redressal of public grievances. He exhorted the importance of intensifying efforts to curb the drug menace, strengthening the anti-terror grid, maintaining law and order, and ensuring timely and effective investigation of cases, particularly those registered under the NDPS Act and UAPA.
He further underscored the need for effective supervision, better coordination among police units, strengthened community policing and a visible police presence at the grassroots level. He urged officers to discharge their duties with dedication, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure peace, security and public confidence in the district.
