Youth President Urges Unity, Responsible Conduct and Timely Implementation of Muharram Arrangements Across Jammu & Kashmir
Srinagar, June 5(KNB): Youth President Mudasir Karim has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Ghadeer, particularly to the youth, and prayed for peace, prosperity and unity among all communities.
In his message, Mudasir Karim said that Eid-e-Ghadeer marks one of the most significant occasions in Islamic history, commemorating the event of Ghadir Khumm where the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW) declared the wilayah and leadership of Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS). He said the day serves as a reminder of the values of justice, loyalty, leadership, truth and service to humanity.
Addressing to youth, Karim urged them to draw inspiration from the teachings of Ahlulbayt (AS) and to remain committed to education, social responsibility, moral values and community service.
On the occasion, he also paid rich tributes to Imam Sayyid Ruhollah Musavi Khomeini (RA) on his 37th death anniversary, remembering him as a transformative leader whose vision and struggle inspired millions across the world. He said Imam Khomeini’s message of dignity, resistance against oppression and reliance on faith continues to resonate among people far beyond Iran.
Mudasir Karim further remembered the sacrifices made by Ayatullah Sayyid Ali Khamenei and the many martyrs who have laid down their lives in defence of their nation, faith and principles. He said the sacrifices of these personalities and countless others will continue to inspire future generations.
Referring to the expected funeral and mourning ceremonies in the coming days, Karim appealed to the youth to express their grief and solidarity in a dignified, peaceful and responsible manner while strictly remaining within the ambit of law and maintaining communal harmony and public order.
Turning towards the upcoming month of Muharram-ul-Haram, Karim noted that only a few days remain before the commencement of the sacred month and that preparations are already underway across various districts of Jammu and Kashmir. He appreciated the initiative taken by the administration and various departments in holding review meetings well in advance this year.
He observed that while the planning process has begun positively, the coming days will be crucial for implementation. A significant amount of work relating to road repairs, sanitation, electricity, water supply, medical facilities, traffic management and other arrangements still needs to be completed within a short period of time.
Mudasir Karim urged all concerned government departments to extend maximum support and ensure that all pending works are executed on priority so that mourners across Jammu and Kashmir can observe Muharram with dignity, safety and proper facilities.
He concluded by praying for peace, stability and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and the entire Muslim Ummah.(KNB)
