Srinagar, May 18: Former bureaucrat and politician Gazanfar Ali reportedly suffered a massive heart attack during the late-night hours at his residence in Srinagar.
He was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, where he has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and is currently undergoing treatment under strict medical supervision.
Sources said a team of doctors is closely monitoring his condition at Srinagar’s premier healthcare facility. News of his sudden illness has sparked concern across political, social, and administrative circles in Kashmir, with people from different walks of life praying for his speedy recovery.
Gazanfar Ali has served in several key administrative positions in Jammu and Kashmir, including as Commissioner of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), and is widely known in political and bureaucratic circles.
Family members, relatives, and well-wishers have appealed to the public to pray for his recovery. Editor Kashmir News Bureau and the entire Kashmir News Bureau team have also expressed prayers and wishes for his good health and early recovery.(KNB)
