
Srinagar, March(KNB): “Partow – Ray of Light,” a documentary presented by Islamic Relief and Research Trust Kashmir (IRRT) in collaboration with FTM, has earned international recognition after being selected and reaching finalist status at multiple global film festivals.
The film is a finalist at the Filmmaker Sessions under the Lift-Off Global Network, with a potential pathway to screenings at Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom.
It has also been honoured at Indie Films Fest with the award for Best Film on Socially Weaker Sections, along with another finalist position.
The documentary highlights the humanitarian work of IRRT, a Kashmir-based organisation active since 2000, focusing on socio-economic challenges and stories of resilience and hope.
It showcases key initiatives such as scholarships for underprivileged students, financial assistance to widows, and care and education for orphaned children.
The film is scripted and produced by Advocate A.R. Hanjura, Founder and Chairman of IRRT, and directed by Dr Aijaz Ahmad Khan, an experienced filmmaker from Jammu & Kashmir.
Established in 2000, IRRT supports orphaned and underprivileged children, provides financial aid to vulnerable families, and promotes education and skill development across Kashmir.
The organisation operates through public support and donations, with assistance from various national and international partners.
