Srinagar, Mar 07(KNB): On the occasion of the 87th CRPF Day, the 132 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a one-day blood donation camp on March 7 at its premises in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, in collaboration with Ujala Cygnus Hospital, Srinagar.
The camp was formally inaugurated by Commandant Shri W.R. Josuah of 132 Bn CRPF. The event witnessed active participation from CRPF officers and personnel as well as several civilians who volunteered to donate blood.
The blood donation drive received an enthusiastic and overwhelming response from volunteers who came forward to contribute to the noble cause. The initiative highlighted the spirit of dedication and compassion upheld by CRPF personnel, not only in safeguarding the nation but also in extending humanitarian support to society.
Donors were provided light refreshments, certificates, and medals as a token of appreciation for their contribution.
In a statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau, officials said that such initiatives aim to promote humanitarian values and encourage people to come forward for lifesaving causes like blood donation, which can help save many precious lives.(KNB)
