Srinagar, Jan 14 (KNB): Two tenants were found dead inside a rented room in the Nowgam area of Srinagar on Wednesday.
Officials told News agency Kashmir News Bureau that the two were discovered unconscious in their room, following which they were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.
However, doctors at the hospital declared them brought dead.
Preliminary findings suggest that the deaths may have occurred due to suffocation, officials said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of death. (KNB)
