Leopard Strays into CRPF Camp in Kapran, One Jawan Injured

Srinagar, Dec 24(KNB): Panic broke out at a CRPF camp in the Kapran area of Anantnag district on Wednesday morning after a leopard entered the premises and attacked security personnel, injuring one jawan.

Officials said the incident took place during breakfast hours when jawans were gathered in the camp mess. Suddenly, a leopard strayed into the camp, triggering chaos and attacking personnel before it could be driven away.

In the attack, one CRPF jawan, identified as Head Constable Kamlesh Kumar, sustained injuries. He was immediately shifted to a nearby Primary Health Centre (PHC), where he received prompt medical attention.

Officials added that the condition of the injured jawan is stable. Further details about the incident are awaited.(KNB)
