Baramulla 21 Feb(KNB): Sopore Police recovered a consignment of illicit timber from Laiser Rafiabad village, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Dangiwacha.
The raid was conducted based on specific information regarding the illicit timber consignment. A police party from PS Dangiwacha and PP Watergam, along with the forest department, seized 12.59 square feet of illicit timber from the spot.
The accused, identified as Nazir Ahmad Rather, a resident of Laiser Rafiabad, is currently under investigation. A case has been registered under FIR No. 14 at Police Station Dangiwacha, and further investigation is underway.
