Srinagar, Oct 27(KNB): National Conference leader and MLA from Bijbehara, Bashir Ahmad Veeri, was detained at Srinagar Airport today after security personnel found live ammunition in his luggage.
According to sources, Veeri was headed to Jammu when he was stopped at a routine security checkpoint, where two live rounds were discovered in his baggage.
He was immediately taken in for questioning, and authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the matter, sources said.
