Srinagar 03 Sep(KNB): Former SMC Gazanfar Ali is all set to join the Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) led by Engineer Rasheed tomorrow. Sources close to the development have confirmed that Ali will formally join the party
Ali, has served in various departments, including as Deputy Commissioner of Shopian, Commissioner of SMC, and Director of Youth Services and Sports, from which he retired in 2022.
According to party insiders, Ali is likely to contest the upcoming elections from the Lal Chowk constituency.
His entry into the fray is expected to impact the political scenario in the area, where PDP’s Zuhaib and NC’s Ahsan Pardesi are already in the running.
