Army Patrol Ambushed in Kathua: 4 Soldiers Killed, 6 Injured

Katua 08 July(KNB): Four soldiers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were killed and six others were injured in a militant attack in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, July 8.

The attack occurred when militants ambushed an Army patrol party near the Badnota area, lobbing a grenade and opening fire on the soldiers. The soldiers retaliated, but the militants escaped into the nearby forest, and a search operation was launched to find them

The injured soldiers were taken to a military hospital, where two of them are in critical condition. This attack comes two weeks after a gunfight between terrorists and security forces in the Gandoh area of Doda district that left three foreign terrorists dead on June 26.
