Locals Aiding Foreign Terrorists will Face Enemy Agents Act Charges: DGP J&K

Jammu, June 23(KNB): The Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP), RR Swain, said that locals found aiding foreign terrorists will face stringent action under the Enemy Agents Act (EAA). The EAA, even more severe than the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), will be invoked against those who provide shelter, assistance, or guidance to foreign militants.

Talking to media, DGP Swain said that the battle against foreign terrorists would be won through active public support. He expressed determination to confront foreign terrorists head-on, asserting that the police, with assistance from Central forces, would wipe them out of the region within the next two to three months.

Regarding recent incidents DGP said, the Kathua case is under investigation by the State Investigating Agency (SIA), while the Reasi terror attack has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The main conspirator behind the Reasi attack has already been arrest.

Additionally, the police are upgrading cyber police stations to combat fraud and cybercrimes. DGP Swain announced a reward for the best cyber police wing/stations in Jammu and Kashmir.(KNB)
