Srinagar May 03(KNB): State investigation agency (SIA) Produced charge sheet against three accused involved in raising and circulating funds.
In a handout issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, SIA official said, SIA Kashmir produced charge sheet against three accused persons for raising and circulating funds to further terrorist designs in the UT of J&K. During the course of investigation of case FIR No 22/2022 Police Station SIA/CIK Kashmir, Special Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir chapter has been able to trace the foundations and nodes of terrorist folds which have been hatching innovative conspiracies to keep the pot of terrorism boiling in the UT of J&K by way of raising and circulating funds.
The investigation team has been able to touch the nerves of nefarious elements involved in various overt and covert acts of propaganda and criminal proliferation at the international level to overawe the government machinery and harm the unity, sovereignty, integrity and security of India. Among accused, one is Bashir Ahmad Mir @Moulvi Bashir Irfani S/O Late Mohammad Rehamtullah Mir R/O Nathpora Bandipora, A/P Alochabagh Srinagar, a hard core propagandist and conspirator, General Secretary Hurriyat Conference (G) and chairman‘Shabba-Ul- Muslameen, who has been found receiving and holding proceeds of terrorism in the shape of hefty amounts of currency which has been recovered from his possession to fuel violence in UT of J&K, SIA said in a statement.
The accused entered into a common criminal design along with two other absconding accused individuals to rejuvenate terrorism & secessionism in the UT and disturb the peaceful environment . Trio has been found involved in incentivising prospect members to spread the tentacles of criminal plots in various districts of the UT to broaden the membership grid. Two Absconding accused persons have been found hob knobbing with ISI of Pakistan for having patronage and logical support in carrying out terrorist activities in the UT of J&K. Besides raising funds they have been found instrumental in knitting anti- India propaganda outside India besides promoting disaffection among the peaceful Public particularly impressionable youth. The charge sheet has been produced in the Hon’ble court of Special Judge NIA court Srinagar under the provisions of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act 1967, as amended on May 3rd 2023, they statement reads.
It is pertinent to mention here that the investigation of the case has been completed within six months time, statement further reads.(KNB)
