Jammu, Apr 12(KNB): BJP MP Rajya Sabha Gulam Ali Khatana has asked the Divisional administration Jammu to brace up for summer season and put in place all the measures for meeting the demand of potable drinking water and power supply.
A large number of delegations from different parts of Jammu region including Udhampur, Samba, Jammu, Kathua today met the MP Gulam Ali and apprised him about the scarcity of drinking water and power supply. They said that with the onset of summer season drinking water supply has been affected and power supply too has become erratic.
MP Gulam Ali said that both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UTs administration led by Lieutenant Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha have been acting in sync with each other and are working overtime to remove the hardships of the common masses. He said that rot of seven decades spread by the Cong, NC, PDP cannot be undone in a few years yet lot has been done by the central government. He further said that there is no dearth of funds from the central govt for development activities in Jammu and Kashmir and recent budget has provided for adequate funds. Yet water supply has to be upgraded and new out of box solutions keeping in view the future needs of Jammu have to be devised.
MP Gulam Ali said that very shortly he would review the bottlenecks in upgradation of power infrastructure and water supply schemes with the concerned officials and seek its redressal.(KNB)
