Srinagar 18 Jan (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum headed by Mohammad Amin Khan extended good wishes to people on the eve of Shab-e-Mehraj and Heerath (Maha Shivratri).
In a press statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, Spokesperson of the forum Tahir Ahmad Sofi extended greetings to the people in general and in particular to the employees fraternity on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Mehraj and Mahashivratri being celebrated together in J&K.
Tahir sofi said that these important occasions enlighten people about the right path of honesty and truthfulness and teach brotherhood, unity and harmony among diverse communities.
He said the night of Mehraj is a sacred occasion to seek blessings and forgiveness of Allah, and the leadership of the teachers forum extends hearty Shab-e-Mehraj greeting to people especially to the employees fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir and pray for their prosperity.
The whole leadership of the forum also greeted Hindu community, especially Kashmiri Pandits at the religious festival of mahashivratri commonly known as “Herath” in Kashmir.
The leadership hoped that these auspicious occasions would be a harbinger of peace, progress, prosperity and happiness and would strengthen the bonds of harmony, brotherhood and amity which are the hallmarks of J&K’s glorious pluralistic traditions.(KNB)
