Come out with concrete job policy for unemployed youth: Vakil to Govt

Jammu 8 Jan(KNB): Senior Vice-president of J&K People’s Conference (PC) and former minister Abdul Gani Vakil today said that promises made by Union Territory Government for the unemployment youth have proved to be hoax and that the policies in last four years have pushed the youth to the wall.

In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, Vakil said promises and claims made by the Government for thousands of educated youth have not yielded any results so far. Instead people who were employed by previous regimes are on roads protesting for their regularisation and for releasing their wages every other day.
“It is shocking that instead of listening to their grievances these protesting employees are being lathi charged especially ReK employees.

Vakil further urged the administration to come out with a concrete job policy for the unemployed youth so that they cannot suffer anymore and will come close to mainstream.

“Once the employment opportunities are created, the youth would be converged towards the Government, which is the need of the hour,” he added.

He further said that People’s Conference will always fight to ensure equitable development of all the regions of Jammu and Kashmir as it strengthens the bonds of unity and integrity of the J&K which is the need of the hour, he said in a statement. (KNB)
