Anantnag 01 Nov(KNB): Encounter broke out on Tuesday between militants and security forces in Simthan Bijbhera area of Anantnag district.
According to reports reaching to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that on a specific information about the presence of militants, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Simthan village of Bijbhera Anantnag.
The hiding militants fired upon the searching party which was retaliated and triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, Firing was going on when the last reports came in.(KNB)
